Breathalyzer results still aren't being used as evidence in Massachusetts' courtrooms and the 22News I-Team discovered, some defense attorneys are fighting to keep it that way. The Department of Public Safety determined last October that the Office of Alcohol Testing intentionally withheld documents from defense attorneys in OUI cases.

Section of Roosevelt Ave. in Springfield closed for construction work

The Springfield DPW will be closing the section of the road from 7 a.m. Tuesday morning until 4 p.m. The section of road will be closed to install a new drain pipe and manhole near the Gaucher Street Ramp. The Gaucher Street Ramp will be open for access to Sci-Tech parking only.

Four of the five state-chartered banks formed in Massachusetts during the past two decades have disappeared due to mergers.

A group of parents and advocates making their case for revamping the state's school funding system on Monday nearly crossed paths with a top education official on his way to a budget office meeting. Members of Stand for Children Massachusetts delivered more than 1,700 letters to Gov. Charlie Baker, asking for what the group described as a more equitable school funding formula that would address rising and uncovered costs related to health care, English language learners and special education.

MGM Springfield offering bus pickup service from your home to casino

As of Monday, people living in several western Massachusetts cities and towns and parts of Connecticut will be offered the King Ward at Your Door service. A bus will come to your house in Greenfield, Westfield, Amherst, or Palmer, to pick you up, and bring you to the casino.
